External Repairs

Breakdowns

An external breakdown occurs when a customer has machinery on their site in need of emergency repairs, necessitating a serviceman to visit. A typical correction path would involve diagnosing the cause of the fault and undertaking the necessary repairs to correct the defect.

Programmed

An external programmed repair occurs when the customer's machinery on site requires predetermined repairs to be performed. The details of such repairs may of have been determined from a previous breakdown, proactive maintenance service or for a variety of other reasons.

Internal Repairs

Internal repairs relate to items of equipment, or complete machines, that are delivered to our workshop for necessary work. A typical operation includes having equipment stripped, assessed, machined, new parts installed, assembled and tested.

Manufacturing / Modifications

A series of design related questions are made available for the client to answer. From these answers a design and, if required, costing can be compiled. Manufacture or modification begins upon receipt of order.

Zero Downtime - Proactive Maintenance

Our Zero Downtime Proactive Maintenance plan is a form of predetermined maintenance services carried out on machinery on the customer's sites. Tasks, duration and date are planned and scheduled in advance.

Product Sales

We have a wide range of products and parts available, and can also order in one-off stock from suppliers for our customers. Excel is an authorised distributor for Parker Hannifin and PowerTeam products.
